A forecast of 97 today will have our city kids melting!
You can still practice in that temperature, but you can also cancel.
SFYS suggestion - connect with your players and their families and discuss if you will still hold practice or not.
If you do hold practice, here are some ideas to help with the climate:
Bring shade if there are no trees. Set it up away from the field/practice area and leave all water in there.
Then use timings. Play a small-sided game 5 times for 2/3/4 minutes. Take an equal length water break. Play again.
Use the water break in the shade to coach players using a tactics board or through conversation. If you are using the US Soccer sessions, then they have guided questions as part of the plan - use those in the water break moments.
Have fun, but it should always fall to the families to make their own decisions for the safety of their own player.
