Fall 2022 Week 11!

Happy last weekend of the season!

As the fall season comes to an end, we’d like to acknowledge the hundreds of volunteers who have helped make the season possible (👊, Coaches, Managers and Team STARs)

Before we sign off for Thanksgiving, an important note about *next* season … for which registration is due by 12/7 - see info below

Spring Registration

• Spring season overview, info and scheduling updates will be posted the the season page on the Community Portal
• Spring Intent to Play Form is live!
• Click here to complete (only one submission is required per team)
• Click here for SQWAD registration instructions
• Registration in SQWAD will open to all teams by November 28, if not sooner
• SQWAD is finalizing some updates for us; make sure you download the most recent version of the app before you start!
• December 7th: deadline to submit the Intent, pay the team fee, create a team in SQWAD, and register the minimum number of players required for the division in SQWAD in order to qualify for field allocations from SF Rec & Park
• NOTE: as long as a team has the minimum number of players registered by the deadline, they can continue to add players and adjust their rosters in advance of the season

Annual General Meeting

Save the date! We have set our date for this year's 2023 AGM. The AGM is the Annual General Meeting where SFYS team representatives come together to get any updates or announcements, a recap of the past year and the scoop on the coming year, and an introduction to and vote for the SFYS Volunteer Board positions.

The meeting will be both in person and virtual on 2/16/23. As we get close to the date, specifics on time and location will be announced, but typically it begins between 6:30 and 7. 

Season Wrap Up

As you know, we will be using editable and downloadable certificates rather than medals this season. Check out the certificates here. (Reminder: The document must be downloaded before editing and printing.)

If you end up tied with another team in the standings, here are the tiebreakers in order:

• Goal Differential
• Head to Head record
• Goals against
• Goals for
• Win Percentage
