Fall Registration Deadline EXTENDED to Tuesday 5/21

Still finalizing a few things for your team’s registration?
Good news–you have one extra day!
We’re extending the team registration deadline to tomorrow, May 21st at 5PM.

Reminder: For tomorrow’s deadline, we’re just looking for two things:

1. Teams must submit an Intent to Play
   - click here for a public listing of submissions we’ve received so far
   - click here to submit if you don’t see your team listed
2. Teams must be created in SQWAD with the minimum number of players registered:
   - click here for online registration instructions,
   - click here for roster min/max and age limits
   
   

While it’s important to get a head start on individual registration requirements like coach certifications or updated player photos, we won’t start reviewing those until after this week, once we’ve finalized validating team minimums and submitting rosters to SF Rec and Park. For now, focus on adding everyone to the roster and getting players to accept invitations. Any invited players who need to accept will show on the online roster with a “pending” label across their player photo.

• SQWAD FYI for Coaches & Team Managers: If Player’s Photo or Proof of Birth is missing or not yet reviewed by SFYS, they may display as “suspended” on the roster since technically they’re not yet eligible on game day … this Fall. Don’t stress about this for now!

Reminder:
You have until August 1st to chase down/sign up for individual requirements, HOWEVER:
Make sure to invite your coaches to the roster now so we can include them in reminders for field training and preseason announcements over the summer!

SQWAD Troubleshooting for Coaches

Families having trouble finding your invitation?
See the walkthrough video in Step 3 (they should already have an account and an invitation from your team). 

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps:

1. Double check the email address you used to send the invitation. It should match the email the family uses to log in (they may have added additional contacts later, but invites are always attached to the “master login” email)
2. Remove the invitation and send it again: tap on the pending player, then the red “remove from roster” button, then invite the player again
3. If they’re using the app, they may need to scroll down or tap to dismiss older notifications. They can also try from a browser at this link (invites show up under “registration and payments”)
4. Tried all the steps above, and the family still can’t find the invitation? Please have them email info@sfyouthsoccer.com with their team name, player full name and player email. We can and will account for tech issues in the player counts shared with SF Rec and Park, so – as long as you’ve reached out to let us know, it won’t impact your team’s registration.
